Richard "Brock" Brockmeyer, Cellar Rat.
Brock’s professional focus has been advising clients in the high-end vineyard/wine business since the mid-1970’s. Based in Napa, he has been active in the premium growing regions of the West Coast. Clients have included farmland investment funds, wineries and individuals. Along with management of vineyard properties, his specialty became, over the years, identifying and acquiring sites for development of world-class winegrape vineyards.
Much of this was done in conjunction with long-time colleague, vineyard developer William Hill. Brock’s charge was to search out undeveloped diamonds-in-the-rough for acquisition and development. Many of the now-mature vineyards are household names to wine buffs:
Oregon ~ Gran Morane, Zena Crown, Roserock and Willakia.
Anderson Valley ~ Crossings, Annahala and Anderson Creek.
Sonoma ~ Gap’s Crown, Sun Chase, Gold Rock Ridge, and Walala.
Napa ~ Diamond Mountain Ranch, Sugarloaf Mountain and Nathan Coombs.
Sta. Rita Hills ~ Rita’s Crown, Salsipuedes, Radian and Bentrock.
