Spoiler Alert: If you are looking for a winery story that includes: (a) a mega-successful entrepreneur from an industry such as tech or commercial real estate, and (b) a seminal wine moment that sparked a passion to make world-class wine, this is not your site. Ours is a story of 65+ combined years in various aspects of the premium wine business and a family raisin farm that spawned Brockmeyer Family Wines.

Brockmeyer Family Wines was founded with the 2018 vintage by Richard “Brock” Brockmeyer and son Brett. It was created to honor the heritage vines of Brock’s mom’s family farm south of Fresno – the Cederquist Vineyard. Grandfather Ernest Cederquist's historic vineyard was planted to Grenache in the 1890's. A Rosé of Grenache has been our flagship wine. With the 2022 vintage, we have added three other vineyards with Syrah and Albariño joining the team. Production ranges between 50 and 100 cases for each wine.
Three of the “Brockmeyer Five” have Day Jobs in the vineyard and wine industry. The newest family member, Eva Mae, is absorbing the business from the ground up – since it all starts in the vineyard.

Brock has been advising clients in the high-end vineyard/ wine business since the mid-1970’s. Based in Napa, he has been active in the premium growing regions up and down the West Coast. For much of his career he worked closely with vineyard developer William Hill, as his “landman”. Discovering and acquiring land for world-class vineyard development was the underlying credo. Forty+ vineyards have their roots in Brock’s work. Many are now well-known to the wine aficionado. For more on Brock, visit the "Brock, Cellar Rat" page.

2022 brought Brockmeyer Family Wines new opportunities with Washington and Oregon fruit. Early that year, the younger Brockmeyers moved to Walla Walla for Brett’s new position as Winemaker for Isenhower Cellars. This small, husband-wife operation provides a very intimate winemaking relationship, providing his full immersion in all winemaking decisions and production activities.
