Otis Vineyard
Yakima Valley AVA
Albariño
The Otis Vineyard’s original plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon date from 1956. Still producing, these are some of the oldest winegrapes in Washington. The Albariño block was added more recently. The Yakima Valley is a diversified agricultural region, with Otis’s neighboring properties producing winegrapes, hops, apples and grain crops.
Albariño’s “home” is the Iberian Peninsula – Portugal and Spain. As with Brett’s Brockmeyer Family version, it is known as a white wine with a crisp, dry style. Our first vintage from Otis, the 2022, was released Spring 2023.
Vineyard Planted: 2010
Soil Classification: Warden Very Fine Sandy Loam, 2 to 8% slope, eroded.
